Canadian Muslim Forum Congratulates Prime Minister-Elect Mark Carney and All Elected Members of the House of Commons.

Montreal, April 29, 2025 — The Canadian Muslim Forum (FMC-CMF) extends its sincere congratulations to Mr. Mark Carney on his election as the 25th Prime Minister of Canada. We acknowledge this moment as an important step in our democratic process and commend Mr. Carney for earning the confidence of voters from across the country.

We also recognize and congratulate all Members of Parliament elected to the House of Commons. Their service and commitment are vital to the functioning of our parliamentary system.

This election comes at a time when Canada is facing considerable political, economic, and social challenges. The path forward requires thoughtful leadership, mutual respect, and, above all, a renewed spirit of national unity. It is only through sincere cooperation and inclusive dialogue that we can begin to address the complex issues before us.

As part of this renewed commitment to national unity, the FMC-CMF urges the new government to take firm and sustained action against all forms of hate, discrimination, and bigotry. Building a safe and inclusive society requires clear leadership and the courage to confront rising intolerance in all its forms.
